Yesterday, Mike V competed in the Fedorin Cup charity hockey game. Put on by the Athletic Sports Fund of America and held at the Anaheim Ice in Anaheim, CA, many professional hockey players and celebrities gathered to play a fun game of hockey to help raise money for this great cause.

The ASFA was established in 1998 when Eric Fedorin, a 36 year-old local California hockey player was diagnosed with brain cancer. In is his memory, Athletic Sports Fund of America (ASFA) donates event proceeds to worthy causes such as: NHL Hockey Fights Cancer, the American Cancer Society, USC Norris Cancer Center and offer grants to young athletes in need.

Here are a few photos from the afternoon…

Ladies and gentlemen… The Glory Bound Tour is in the history books! We’ve arrived back in California and no worse for the wear. Mike has pushed on to Malmo, Sweden to compete in the Ultra Bowl II contest, as for the rest of us… A little rest and relaxation perhaps. Whatever everyone ends up doing over the next few days, here are some photos from the last two days of the tour at Skate City in Las Vegas and Skatelab in Simi Valley, California…

01
Day 32… Skate City in Las Vegas, NV.

02
Mike skates there so much he has his own reserved parking spot out front.

The Glory Bound Tour rolls on! We’re currently westward bound with just two more demos left to go in Las Vegas, NV and Simi Valley, CA and this tour will be in the history books. Here are some photos from the last few days from St Louis, Merriam, KS, Lakewood, CO and a day off in Richfield, UT.

01
Bus repair blues… This damn bus keeps breaking down!

02
CJ has had enough and opens up a window after suffering it out on a bus with no AC.

03
After suffering it out in the worst heat conditions of any demo of the entire tour, the autograph session spilled out to the parking lot below Ramp Riders in St Louis. The lady in red had Duane Peters autograph her ankle to get tattoo’d on her the next day.

04
The DIY spirit lives on with the homemade DIY or DIE t-shirt.

05
Another homemade shirt from the Ramp Riders demo, this time featuring the roster of skaters on the tour, sans Adams.

06
The debut of the “Nomad Shower.” The Louder Than Hell guys soaping up and hosing down Danforth for his first shower of the entire tour.

07

We’re still alive! Apologies to everyone who has been following the tours progress from home… it’s been hard to get a photo update online these last few days. Mechanical issues with our bus, lack of any kind of internet connection at some skateparks has set me back a few days and my mind is just about fried. But here we go.. without further delay, here are a few photos from days 23 through 27 of The Glory Bound Tour.

01
Day 23 kicked off with being woken up in a rain storm and discovering the front lounge of our bus had been flooded out. Here are Colin Sick and Duane Peters doing their part, hanging 10 Teen Wolf style and checking for leaks.

02
Mark Choiniere down in the lobby of our hotel editing this weeks episode of Mondays With Mike V.

03
Later in the afternoon I tagged along to a bbq in the Suburbs of Milwaukee. Here is our host, Tim, ready to bbq it up with his Screaming Hand gear.

04
Duane, Mike, Bill and Kristian ready to get their grub on.

05
Landshark Wheels cake!

06
Couldn’t head out till this one had Mike’s signature on it.

07
Left to right: Duane, Tim, Kristian, Mike and Mike Beer.

08
Day 24… Demo at 4 Seasons.. Mike V knocking down the vert wall with a tailblock.

09
Duane signing for a local skater after the demo.

10
Mike caught these two bad asses at the Good Humor truck getting an ice cream cone.

11
We finally come face to face with Glennzig at the Killer Skatepark. Here is Glenn showing off autographed Mike V 8×10.

13
Awesome window painting at The Killer Skatepark.

14
Bill and Duane got their glory biscuits too.

15
This is what we’re dealing with here folks.

16
On day 27 we found ourselves at The Warp Skatepark in Lake In The Hills, IL.

17
Duane experimented with a dirtboard out in the parking lot before the demo.

18
Good stock of Mike V guest boards on 1031 Skateboards!

19
CJ caught in a critical demo moment.

20
Mike V shuts it down in IL with this wall footplant over the gap. One wrong calculation and his foot would be stuck in those beams.

21
The proshop at Warp turning into an autograph frenzy post demo.

22
Mike V and young up and coming ripper. DIY or DIE!

The Glory Bound Tour rolls on! After a much needed day off in Edison, NJ we were back on the road and headed to Skate Time 209 in Accord, NY to put on the first ever skate demo there.

01
Upon arrival, Mat was putting the finishing touches on re-sheeting some of the ramps.

02
The other half of Skate Time 209 was a roller rink and Duane Peters, CJ and myself took full advantage of the situation.

03
CJ and Duane taking the action over to the skatepark. Fred Blood eat your heart out.

04
Svitak going over the rules to the Expression Session best trick contest with the local skaters.

05
Post demo photo opportunity with Mike V.

06
End of the night pizza party. Skate Time 209 wins as my personal favorite stop of the tour so far.

07
The next day ended up being a day off due to a cancellation in Canton, OH. Our bus has been having some electrical issues and we woke up in the early hours of the morning at a bus mechanic.

13
Left to right: Duane, Bill, our driver Al, Kristian, Mark and CJ.

08
Day 21: The Flow Skatepark in Columbus, OH.

09
Behind the scenes of a Mike V photo shoot for a local newspaper.

10
There’s just too much excitement going on in this photo.

11
Kristian, Kelley Deal and Mike in the back lounge of the bus after recording some new hit songs.

12
Our new tour bus arriving in Florence, KY and backing up to the old one.. The source of the electric problems could not be found so we had to call in a new bus.

Here we go with the next installment of photos from the road out on the Glory Bound Tour. I’m starting to lose track of time and have no idea what day it is anymore…

01
I woke up, got off the bus and found myself in the parking lot of the Vertigo Skatepark in Brookfield, CT.

02
Mike spending time and signing autographs with today’s group of VIPs.

03
This lucky group scored a fresh batch of DIY or DIE t-shirts.

04
The Vertigo Skatepark was very small but the guys made the best of it and some of the best skating went down at this demo.

05
Lucy Vallely signing her second autograph ever!

06
Mike signing one of his Danbury Whalers’ shirts after the demo.

07
CJ working the drive thru.

08
Mike’s first autograph in which he included his upcoming Danbury Whalers jersey number. #22!

09
Here we are the next day in Mike’s hometown of Edison, NJ with some VIPs on the bus.

10
When you’re in Mike’s hometown, you never know what artifacts you might come across. Al Battagliotti dug up one of the actual boards that Mike rode back in ’88. Check out the Morrissey lyrics written on the grip tape.

11
Louder Than Hell Live crankin’ the tunes at the Edison Skatepark.

12
The early stages of a pre-demo highest ollie contest.

13
Back on the bus, Lucy Vallely kept us all entertained with some Tom Petty songs on guitar.

14
Someone painted Mike’s first deck graphics ever and gave it to him as a gift. Timeless.

16
The day after the demo in Edison, we had our first day off after a string of 10 demos in a row. Most of our group went into New York City for the day. I stayed behind to handle a bit of business and get caught up with some work online. I did manage to break out of the hotel for a couple of hours and hit the streets of Edison. First stop… Tastee Subs.

15
Next stop was CJS Skates to visit with Al at his shop for awhile. Check out the tip of the iceburg on his Mike V deck collection on display in his shop.

17
After CJS it was time to see the sights. And by sights I mean go nerd out on some of the local spots that Mike has skated in videos. Here is the infamous graveyard from Public Domain.

18
Here is the golf banks. As seen skated by Mike V in Public Domain and Rubbish Heap.

19
Boulevard Of The Eagles. You’ll know one day.

The Glory Bound Tour continues to roll! We’re right in the middle of a “10 demos in a row” situation with the latest stops being in Rye, NH; Pine Brook, NJ and Shrewsbury, MA. On with the show…

09
After breaking out of Philadelphia we arrived at the Rye Airfield in the very early hours of the morning.

02
Some folks decorated their car for the road trip to Rye. Mike V!

03
Glory Bound!

04
All the bases covered. Revolution Mother!

01
One of the people from the pre-demo VIP meet and greets painted the Landshark Wheels logo and brought it to Mike as a gift. Awesome!

05
The autograph line spills down the hallway as Mike poses for a photo with a fan. Check out that DIY or DIE deck up next in line.

08
Kristian is in zombie mode after a 90 minute demo and what seems like a never ending autograph line.

06
Mike and some young fans posing for a photo.

07
Mark Constance, the second assistant director from Paul Blart: Mall Cop was on the scene.

10
The Master Of Disaster, Duane Peters over coming his fears of reptiles at GardenSk8.

11
The classics never die.

12
This stoked out fellow was given a free ESP guitar after the demo in NJ.

13
Mark filming an interview with Mike for this coming Monday’s episode of Mondays With Mike V.

14
It’s not the best photo (probably due to just pointing my camera without looking as I was yelling into a microphone as this was happening) but this is one of Mike’s crazy tricks from the demo in Shrewsbury, MA at Subliminal Skatepark.

15
Pat is heading home from Subliminal with a brand new DIY or DIE deck from By The Sword Skateboards. Autographed no less.

After demo video interview in Baltimore.

16

Here we go… Day 8 of the Glory Bound Tour is in the history books. After having two days off it was great to get back to the skating. Here are a few photos from our day at the Woodward Skatepark in Lawrenceville, GA…

01
I’ve failed to introduce you to him so far but this is Al, our bus driver. He gets us where we need to go… on time and safely. He’s driving while we’re sleeping.

02
When we arrived at the park we saw this sign posted on the door. Inconvenience? Uhhh… How about “Sorry kids, your mind will be blown once you walk through these doors due to viewing ripping skating.”

03
VIPs for the day, the Jernigan family. Membership has it’s privileges.

04
Just a few of the items available from our daily garage sale.

05
Almost demo time. The Master Of Disaster, Duane Peters, gearing up for getting down.

06
Post demo, Bill Danforth photo bombs these two skate fans.

Thumbs up, all across the board.

08
