Mike V Is Everywhere.
This October 2010 issue of Thrasher Magazine has just hit the skate shops and newsstands and features quite a bit of the recent Mike V news from the skate world. The first sighting is the ad for Mike V’s guest model deck on 1031 Skateboards.
A few pages earlier in the mag is a Landshark Wheels ad for the release of Mike’s signature wheel.
And last but not least, incase you’ve been living under a rock for the past two months and didn’t know that Mike has quit Element and has started his own brand, By The Sword Skateboards, the Trash column has you covered.

Here is the latest installment of Mike V Is Everywhere…
A print of Mike V from the new New York City skateboard photography book Full Bleed was spotted on display at the book launch party this past Saturday night at the 6th Street Warehouse in Los Angeles. The photo of Mike was taken at The Brooklyn Banks in NYC and photographed by old friend Derek Rinaldi in 1988.
The message and vibe of By The Sword Skateboards is already catching on with the youth of today. An anonymous blogger writes:
“Recently a professional skater by the name Mike Vallely, along with fellow skateboarder and artist Jason Filipow have initiated a new company called “By the Sword Skateboards”. This company was created in order to promote and nurture the true, self driven, and inspirational side of skateboarding. Skateboarding isn’t about the hype, money, or who’s the best. It’s simply about inspiration and dedication to pursue your truest dreams no matter the odds. It’s about the mentality of doing it yourself. It’s about the fun and love of it all.”

Mike V Is Everywhere.
Mike V has been recently spotted in Orlando, FL and Los Angeles, CA.
While on a recent vacation the Tomesch family spotted Mike, not once, but twice at The City Walk at Universal Studios. The first picture is of a huge sign featuring Mike doing a frontside ollie in Arizona and the second shot is from the Make It Count Element story that was playing inside the Element Store.
An autographed Mike V deck was recently spotted inside the Sirius Faction Radio studio in Los Angeles.
