Mike Vallely / By The Sword Add Songs To Their Set List.

Look for Mike Vallely / By The Sword’s show tonight at The Slidebar in Fullerton to be even more special. Along with Black Flag classics like My War, Nervous Breakdown, Rise Above and Six Pack, Mike V has added classic songs by Minor Threat, The Misfits and Agent Orange to the set. Says Mike V, “These Black Flag tribute sets have been a lot of fun and in that spirit we have added a few other songs from bands that impacted me early on. It’s a lot of fun to play this material and the shows have been really well received thus far, and knowing how people have supported me at The Slidebar, I really expect tonight to go off. I’m really looking forward to it.”

    Now THAT is going to be a show!! I sure hope more of your fans show up than the regular people that show up at the Slidebar on any given Saturday. I was there a couple of Saturdays ago with some friends (left after one beer too many ogres in one bar couldn’t take it) and it seemed more of a Nickleback crowd than a Minor Threat/Black Flag crowd. Maybe you can take this opportunity and convert the Nickleback crowd into the ways of Minor Threat, Black Flag, and company. Turn a negative into a positive :-)

    Thanks Christine… We’ve always had good shows at The Slidebar… and I expect tomorrow night to be on par. Besides, I’m like Mike Damone from Fast Times … Wherever I am… That’s the place to be. “Hey Debbie… Isn’t this great?”

    Hey Mike.

    You should talk to kevin lyman and try to get this on the all of the Warped dates. It would be really sick to let kids know what real “skate” music is.
    Just a suggestion.
