Mike V
I feel where you are coming from you had every right to defend your familly and you in everyway.I have said before i seen this that sports has came to that. You did the right thing and the Ducks sould be ashamed of them selfves. As a big supporter of sports that is one of the many reasons i have lost some intrest in the game.
Your fan and friend
Jason Carr
Gaffney,South Carolina
P.S. but in the long run that guy and the Ducks made them selfves look stupid
Hi Jason and thanks for your support. I have personally lost total interest in the game. This was a sport that I was deeply invested in — that I played, spectated and promoted with a passion. And now, I could give a shit. The Ducks and the Honda Center threw my family and I under the bus and that can’t be forgiven.
Dude, I don’t even have words to say something about it, because it’s so clear that the stick was supposed to be given to Mike’s daughter, so why did everyone blame Mike for “being agressive” ? Also, why did The Ducks kinda “punish” Mike V for defending his family? Ridiculous. Man, at the first time I watched this video on the internet, I had a lot of things to say in Mike’s defense, but watching it for the 10th time, my words just go away, and I became speechless, because it is so obvious and clear-to-see what really happened, but people ignore that and are prejudiced.
Yo, Mike, I’m a great fan of yours from Brazil. And I got your back because I understand you, since as far as I know about you, I feel a lot like you.
Never give up! You’re an inspiration to me, always true to yourself.
Thanks for your support Claudio. Of course different people will see things differently but there are always two sides to every story. I held my comments for a long time in hopes that the Ducks and the Honda Center would come to their senses and make this right but clearly they haven’t. My only intention was to take the stick from the guy and give it to my daughter (it’s rightful owner) but in the process of that it was actually the guy and the female who became “aggressive.” At that point I was in a fight whether I wanted to be or not. But what if I didn’t defend myself… What if I allowed this guy and the chick and their friend (who after the camera moves away begins to punch me too )just light me up? I could have been seriously injured by these folks for trying to do the right thing. But because I was unafraid and fought back and defended myself successfully I’m the bad guy? Poor assessment by the Ducks and everyone else who made a rush to judgement. I was not “Mike V” in that moment — I was not a “celebrity fan” I was merely a father defending his family and standing up for what was right. But in this “PC” corrupted society — doing the right thing is frowned upon. Oh well — I have my self respect.
Sure thing, man. You stand up for yourself, your family and those you love, and what you believe. And you’re totally right, I admire that. I read some posts on the internet of some guys who didn’t even know who you are, but they said that they would’ve done the same, because they’re fathers too. So I guess there are still people who have some sense of justice.
I really appreciate your reply, Mike.
Best wishes to you and your family.
